Stephen DiFerdinando serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Brightways Corporation, bringing over four decades of leadership and technical expertise in the fields of electrical engineering and network communications. With a career spanning more than 40 years, Mr. DiFerdinando has held senior roles at some of the most respected technology companies, including Unisys, GE Astro Space, General Instrument, Worldgate Communications, ATI, AMD, and Finisar.

His deep understanding of advanced engineering systems and strategic business operations has been instrumental in driving innovation and growth across multiple sectors within the tech industry. As CEO of Brightways Corporation, he continues to lead the company with a vision rooted in technological excellence, operational integrity, and forward-thinking strategy.

Mr. DiFerdinando holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Widener University and an MBA from LaSalle University. His leadership reflects a unique blend of technical insight and executive acumen, making him a recognized figure in the communications and semiconductor industries.

Prem is a seasoned technology leader with over 23 years of experience in embedded systems design, specializing in secure networking and communications. He holds an engineering degree in Electronics & Communications from Ambedkar Institute of Technology Bangalore and a postgraduate diploma in VLSI Technology.

Prem has contributed to next-generation product development at top-tier companies including Dell, Xilinx, Samsung (Networking R&D), Texas Instruments, Illinois Tool Works, Netlogic (Network Security), DRDO (Defense R&D Organization), and HFCL. His career spans high-impact projects across both private and government sectors, often involving mission-critical and encrypted systems.

His expertise covers the full embedded systems stack—from custom hardware design to kernel-level software—enabling the creation of robust, high-performance solutions. Notable accomplishments include the implementation of a TCP Offload Engine (TOE), where socket-level API handling was moved into hardware, demonstrating his deep knowledge of Linux kernel internals and system-level architecture.

Prem has deep command over Layer 2 through Layer 4 networking protocols, including SONET/SDH, RPR, TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VXLAN, EVPN, and SDN overlays. His architectural vision has driven the development of advanced solutions such as “bump-in-the-wire” firewalls capable of high-speed traffic inspection, filtering, and encryption—using intelligent on-chip search algorithms to achieve line-rate performance.

A strategic thinker and hands-on architect, Prem continues to lead innovation at the intersection of embedded design, secure communications, and next-gen networking technologies.

Subhrajit is a researcher and expert in Digital Design with FPGA, specializing in high-performance, hardware-accelerated computing solutions that optimize complex algorithms for energy-efficient AI computation. He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur, and has made notable contributions to the field through his academic and applied research.

Subhrajit has authored two internationally published SCI-indexed journal papers, presented his work at three international conferences, and holds one Indian patent, reflecting his innovation and impact in the design of digital systems. His current interests lie at the intersection of high-performance computing and digital design for AI, where he continues to explore how FPGAs can accelerate complex algorithms and enable energy- efficient computation.

With a strong foundation in both theoretical and practical aspects of hardware design, Subhrajit is committed to advancing the capabilities of reconfigurable computing in modern data-driven applications.
He was awarded a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Communication from West Bengal University of Technology and received his Master of Technology in VLSI Design from the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur. His doctoral thesis title is “Design and Implementation of AI Agents using FPGA for Signal Processing Applications”.
